On a recent program, our customer was tasked with the transfer of 99% concentrated Sulfuric Acid from an existing holding tank to a temporary storage area while the existing tank was cleaned and repaired. There are few choices available in the market for a chemical transfer hose that provides a tube compound compatible with such a high concentration of Sulfuric Acid, while also providing the operator a very flexible transfer hose line at a reasonable price level compared to similar legacy hose products.

In comparison to standard rubber covered Teflon lined chemical suction hose, the ContiTech Chem Superior FEP Teflon hose provides a much more flexible hose construction with only 8” minimum bend radius compared to an 18” minimum bend radius from the previous legacy hose.
